1. Overview

Kitaab KDP ("we", "us", or "our") provides a website and a Chrome extension that help self-publishers research Amazon KDP markets. This policy explains what data each part handles. The short version: your book research data never leaves your device; the website collects only anonymous analytics and whatever you choose to send us through contact forms or checkout.

2. The Chrome Extension

The extension reads publicly visible book data (titles, prices, Best Seller Ranks, review counts and ratings) from Amazon pages you visit, in order to display research overlays. This data is processed locally on your device and stored only in the extension's local browser storage.

The only data the extension transmits off-device is your license key, sent to our payment provider's API (api.lemonsqueezy.com) solely to activate and periodically validate your Pro license. We do not collect your browsing history, Amazon account details, manuscripts, or sales figures.

3. The Website

When you use this website, the following third parties process data on our behalf:

  • Analytics: we use Vercel Analytics to measure aggregate site performance (page views, referrers). This data is anonymous and not linked to your identity.
  • Contact & issue forms: submissions on our contact and report-issue pages are processed by Tally.so. Whatever you type into those forms (name, email, message) is stored by Tally under their privacy policy and forwarded to us so we can respond.
  • Checkout: Pro purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy. Payment details go directly to them; we receive only order and license metadata (never full card numbers). Their privacy policy governs payment processing.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

The website may store small preferences (such as calculator inputs) in your browser's local storage so they persist between visits. The extension stores your license state and research workspace (tracked books, keywords) locally. Nothing in local storage is transmitted to us except as described above.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers listed above, and only as needed to operate the website, process payments, and validate licenses.

6. Your Rights

You can clear the extension's local data at any time from Chrome's extension storage settings, and clear website storage from your browser settings. To request deletion of anything you submitted through our forms, contact us at the address below.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
